2020 Grüner Veltliner

The 2020 is another classic expression of this Austrian variety.  The initial aromas of fresh white peaches and candied pineapple soon evolve into more crisp and classic herbaceous characteristics, with underlying tones of thyme, tarragon and white pepper.  The crisp acidity tickles the taste buds and the mid palate delights with flavours of peach and pineapple while coating the palate with its rich texture.  As the wine warms slightly, savoury subtleties of pepper and celery salt are wrapped with grapefruit pith and nuances of flint in the long rounded finish.

This wine is delicious with fish ‘n chips, risotto verde or a nice fresh bruschetta.  We also recommend a nice herb rubbed or herb crusted fish or chicken dish, accompanied by grilled asparagus or other grilled seasonal veg.
