2016 Chardonnay

Upon first glance, you notice the wine has a golden colour, suggesting it has some age.  Delightful youthful aromas of crisp fresh apple, citrus and overripe pear are followed with hints of canned creamed corn and toasty notes.  The palate carries great acidity with subtle notes of stone fruits, hazelnut and almond.  This wine is nicely aged and the acid carries great length through the finish.  Further cellaring is not required to enjoy this vintage!

This Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented and aged in French oak for 11 months, with only about 20% being new oak.
