LINE COOKS

Peak Cellars has finished up a major restaurant expansion, and we are looking for Line Cooks to join our incredible team of food lovers. Located in Lake Country, BC, Peak Cellars has a ½ acre garden with two greenhouses and berry bushes that our Garden Bistro uses to prepare dishes with newly-harvested ingredients. If you have previous restaurant experience, and want to develop a career in the wine industry, then we want to hear from you!
 

Description:

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, the duties of a Line Cook include executing the menu on line to EC standards, prepping MEP for following shifts, and assisting the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef with functions and daily evolving tasks.
 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of a Line Cook include, but are not limited to:
  • Setting up stations to EC standards
  • Maintaining a clean work station to EC standards
  • Maintaining FIFO practices
  • Uphold safety and hygiene to EC high standards
  • Break down station
  • Checking dates on all stock in station
  • Leaving work stations clean, organized and sanitized to the EC standard for the next shift
  • Recording any stock that was used to completion or near completion
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude conductive to desired kitchen culture
