BAKER/PASTRY CHEF

Here at Peak Cellars, we have finished up a major restaurant expansion and have an exciting opportunity on our team. We are looking for a professional, determined, passionate, and positive Baker/Pastry Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team in Lake Country, BC. With two greenhouses, rows of berry bushes, and a beautiful garden directly on site, the kitchen team collaborates with our gardener to create locally inspired dishes. We look forward to meeting the newest additions to our innovative and fast growing company!


Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for a Baker/Pastry Chef include, but are not limited to:
  • Make doughs for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods.
  • Prepare fresh batters for cakes, muffins, cookies, frostings according to recipes or special
  • requests/dietary restrictions
  • Run high volume mixing machines, ovens and other equipment to produce large volume at times
  • Create dessert menus, daily dessert features, custom orders
  • Develop new products for a la Carte menus in a rotating basis


Requirements:

  • Must have previous restaurant experience.
  • Familiar with cost break down
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification
